Okay, are those werewolves, or gnolls?  (I play D&D)

They are werewolves but they're in different stages of transformation. So only the middle one's head has completely shifted while the others are in the middle of shifting.

I see.  You happen to live in Jersey and are you into D&D?

That sounds like a job that would make money so I've steered clear of it.

Thanks! It's supposed to be some knights who were cursed by a witch to turn into werewolves under a full moon.

So interesting thing.
Not so long ago I ran a D&D campaign where the players were members of an order of Knights dedicated to hunting down and slaying all manner of evil beasts.
Just about this situation happened. Turns out the guys they were originally supposed to reinforce, became the guys they were supposed to kill right in front of them as the full moon came out from around the clouds.
Of course, only 2 of the 6 survived the transformation thanks to my players be prepared for just such an occasion.

Very fun. I'm sure the players enjoyed it.

They did. I never got to finish that campaign sadly, a number of my players had a falling out and couldn't even be in the same room without making snide or offensive remarks at one another.

That's awesome! I'm going to try to make it into a series. So next month I hope to create the image before this one where the knights are getting cursed and eventually I'll do the image after this one where they're being hunted down for being werewolves. Hopefully your friend will pick those up too!

great artwork. first i wasn't fan of the new werewolf, vampire sets with the 19th century theme but i slowly growing on it. this illustration looks so great. love the armour so much. One thing that bugs me, is that the left werewolf looks like a rat.

This wasn't for Magic unfortunately. :( The company still commissions artists even if they haven't actually done work for M:tG

Great job with the lighting in the and colors in this! I gather he is transfiguring into the werewolf creature. Great job depicting the armor splintering and tearing off of him in the process.
